I Dream of Living
Christmas trees, thirt-foot pines
lightly tipped in pristine white, morning
snow, delivered daily.
Cardinals and chipmunks flit
through branches, barely visible. Flash
hints of color, feather and fur
for added flare. Resting
beneath the brightest star, golden halo,
