A Poem by Andrew J. Stone

A Lane with Poplars

(after Vincent van Gogh, 1885)

decaying
pumpkin-color
leaves litter
the dusk-
dry grass

they are the
impressionists
brush, painting
their canvas
like a withered
Van Gogh
