A Poem by Inna Dulchevsky

I Am a Bird

a fire bird
white dove
gray pigeon
red cardinal
tree swallow
silver lark
a purple sunbird
black starling
singing sparrow
a lonely swan
nightingale with
a voice above
the thorns
